The DaVita Insurance Management Team (IMT) is looking for a Senior Manager to lead an operational team of insurance educators. IMT strives to empower patients with knowledge and tools to make well-informed insurance decisions. As a Senior Manager, you will lead a successful and dynamic team to educate our patients about their Medicare options as well as assist them with their insurance needs. You will lead and develop the response to policy changes and other strategic Village initiatives.This position provides great visibility across multiple functions and leadership roles within DaVita.

We are looking for a candidate with Healthcare and insurance experience who has a passion for exceptional Service Excellence, ongoing Continuous Improvement, and developing teammates through providing top-notch coaching and training. The ideal candidate for this position will be passionate about patient care, and will have proven ability to lead a remote team, navigate special projects, and guide teammates to ongoing success.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Empower your team to exceed their goals related to patient insurance education, quality assurance, and patient satisfaction with treatments in DaVita facilities

  • Seek to continue to improve education model and remote business processes

  • Proactively seek to understand local market, policy, and healthcare industry dynamics that could impact your team

  • Own operational and strategic initiatives from inception to completion so as to drive successful, quality education

  • Live and breathe key metrics to identify trends or areas of focus and provide reporting to senior leaders in the Company

  • Forge a partnership with various internal partners and collaborate to drive continuous improvement

  • Recruit, hire, and develop new teammates

  • Lead and foster a fun and positive environment that engages, develops, and rewards performance

  • Create teammate recognition and belonging-oriented programs

  • Lead team homeroom meetings and conduct individual check-ins with teammates

  • Some travel may be required, including to attend various leadership meetings - up to 30%

  • Ambitious and proactive

  • 5 years leadership experience with direct reports, corporate and/or healthcare setting preferred
