Position Overview

The Manager, Cient Operations, serves as an operations and agency enablement champion for the agency's tools, technology / platforms, innovation, and thought leadership. As primary liaison between platform operations partners - including Asana, InterACT and our agency/client teams, this agency Operations champion seeks to democratize the agency's toolkits. They'll ensure standardization, mass adoption, accelerate platform utilization, and engage teams in a collaborative community to share and adopt best practices across the agency and within IPG Mediabrands.

The candidate will be someone who has experience in the following:



  • Media planning or buying experience
  • Client Operations
  • Pharmaceutical is preferred
  • Works well in a agile and dynamic environment
  • Understands the sense of urgency and attention to detail inherent in delivering successful media campaigns, as well as the delivery of cleansed, harmonized, and accurate data for our client


Reporting directly into the Director of Client Operations, this is a pivotal role within the team of experienced specialists and must support the team to ensure advancement of IPG Mediabrands' operations agenda in the assigned clients and beyond.

Responsibilities



  • Ensure media activation best practices and development of documentation for team adherence
  • Ability to build relationships cross-function seamlessly
  • Roll out new processes created by the central team for new tools & drive adoption
  • Advanced critical thinking/analysis capabilities; familiarity with more complex tools and methodologies. Can lead implementation.
  • Strong written and verbal skills; ability to identify issues and discuss proposed solutions
  • Proficient project management skills
  • Lead small-scale data analysis projects, prepare presentation documentation for clients when necessary
  • Mentor & delegate to junior members of the team (GCC)
  • Govern agency and/or client specific naming conventions across all channels as well as adhere to the clients master data policies and ensure documentation is up to date
  • Troubleshoot with ad-tech providers as and when required
  • Consult on internal and client initiatives related to technology, operations and media platform utilization
  • Actively serve as an agency representative in client meetings, commanding a presence with an ability to express complex matters with ease and simplicity from a technical / tools lens.
  • Creatively help solve client business challenges through the mapping of new technologies, platforms, agency solutions, and innovation opportunities
  • Reporting, Q/A hygiene process - connection point between analytics, planning, and investment teams to ensure seamless data review/pass, launch Q/A and data hygiene processes

Required Skills and Experience



  • Strong ability to think systemically about processes and workflows with skill to simplify the complicated and determine the most effective and efficient path forward
  • Deep understanding of media business, specifically as it relates to the lifecycle of a media dollar (planned, authorized, purchased/booked, billed, paid and reconciled) with specific knowledge of digital media
  • Proficient in Asana (or alt PM tool), Ad Operations (CM360), MediaTools/Guideline, MediaOcean (Prisma, MBOX), Nielsen, Comscore, Ad Verification Partners), and Taxonomy is essential
  • Understanding of the benefits of automation as well as types of tools and processes that can be leveraged to facilitate automation
  • Highly structured and organized
  • 3-5 years of experience in a similar role
  • Strong Excel proficiency is required
  • Strong communication skills, including the ability to articulate operational or account challenges both laterally to peers as well as upward to senior management

The salary range for this position is posted below.
