Eligibility Requirements
To be considered for the Fellowship in Industry Program ( FIP), applicants must meet all the following requirements at the time of application submission:

  • Be a United States citizen or permanent resident.
  • Hold a Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree from a program accredited by the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE).
  • Have completed all degree requirements before July 1 of the fellowship start year.
  • Be available to participate in all stages of the selection process, including interviews at the ASHP Midyear Meeting and potential on-site interviews.
  • Submit all application materials through one of the two designated portals:

    1. The Personnel Placement Service (PPS) at the ASHP Midyear Meeting, or
    2. Email to pharmfip@pacific.edu.

Position Summary Information


Primary Purpose
The mission of the Thomas J. Long School of Pharmacy (the School) is to prepare students for lifelong success in health careers by providing an excellent, student-centered learning environment. We aspire to develop leadership skills in our students and a strong commitment to their professions, to interprofessional collaboration, and to society. These efforts are assisted by linkages across the University of the Pacific (the University) professional and liberal arts programs. We support outstanding professional and graduate teaching, research and other scholarly activity, and services as a means of achieving our mission.

This 2-year fellowship through the collaboration between BridgeBio, the industry partner, and the University serves to provide professional and graduate training, research, and other scholarly activities.
Essential Functions
The fellow will engage in research collaboration with faculty, professional development meetings, grants, and manuscript development, advising Pacific's Industry Pharmacists Organization (IPhO) student chapter, and teaching activities (e.g., industry elective, research elective)

  • PharmD degree

  • Industry APPE, research, and scholarship experience
  • Experience and sensitivity in working with people of diverse backgrounds and cultures.
  • Demonstrated experience in advancing social justice, equity, and inclusion in a university setting.
  • Ability to engage and integrate culturally responsive practices and knowledge in their work.

Requires extended periods of sitting and repetitive hand/wrist motion while using a computer keyboard and phone. Occasional standing, walking, climbing stairs, bending, stooping, and reaching. Occasional lifting up to 25 pounds.
Hiring Range $61,000 per year. We consider factors such as, but not limited to, scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's qualifications, internal equity, as well as market and organizational considerations when extending an offer.
