STV Company has an immediate opening for an Environmental Project Manager for our NYC PM/CM team.

The Environmental Project Manager will be responsible for managing and supporting preparation of a variety of National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) environmental documents and will work with our Environmental Planning & Permitting and Engineering teams.

Environmental Project Manager Responsibilities

  • Responsible for planning and managing all aspects of small to medium environmental projects and processes (i.e. technical studies and NEPA CEs, EAs).
  • Assists public and private clients with agency permits.
  • Defines the level of environmental analysis required. Independently coordinates the work of professional staff on projects.
  • Establishes and maintains client relations, and is involved with marketing, proposal development, preparation of scopes and fees, and document production.
  • Participates in reviews with various governing agencies for compliance. Leads preparation for and participates in public meetings and hearings.
  • Serves as a technical resource and assigns work to other staff and coordinates workload throughout project development to complete documents on schedule.
  • Includes field work to lead wetland delineations or other studies. Some travel may be required.
  • Tracks financial aspects of projects. Coordinates and adjusts the workload effort with the internal team and subconsultants to ensure that work is completed within the parameters of the agreed to schedule.
  • Works with the Department Manager for project reviews and with company management on an as needed basis.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in environmental sciences, transportation planning, environmental planning or similar discipline.
  • Minimum 8 years of experiencewith NEPA documentation for transportation projects and permitting.
  • EPA certifications for LEAD & ASBESTOS
  • OSHA 30 / DOB SST Card
  • Experience with oversight of Lead & ACM abatement- specifically LEAD exemptions with HUD, wipe tests, clearances etc.
  • Deep knowledge of Testing/Sampling of both ACM/Lead(XRF/Paint chips) etc. and interpreting lab results.
  • Expertise with TCLP and HAZMAT removal procedures
  • Expertise with DEP filing procedures ATRU etc.
  • Expertise with regulations of DEP/DOL for monitoring compliance.
  • Previous experience working with NYCHA heavily preferred

Compensation Range:

$114,544.55 - $152,726.06
