As a Network Engineer, you will be a valuable member of the data network team, providing services related to network engineering, such as technical support, planning, forecasting, designing, project management, installation, monitoring and maintenance of the converged data/voice network.

We Require

  • One year of hands-on experience with network routing protocols, specifically OSPF and BGP, demonstrating a solid understanding of their implementation and optimization.

  • Experience in network design, implementation, and troubleshooting, with the ability to resolve network issues efficiently.

  • Proficient in designing, implementing, and managing local area networks, with a strong focus on wireless technologies and security measures.

  • Knowledge of proactive monitoring tools and techniques, including the ability to analyze data packet captures to enhance network performance and security.

  • Familiarity with wide area network technologies, including SD-WAN, Metro Ethernet, DIA and 5G networks, with a track record of optimizing performance and reliability.

  • Familiarity with SDN concepts and technologies, showcasing an ability to adapt to emerging trends in network architecture.

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a closely related field

  • A combination of post-secondary education and/or job-related experience may substitute for the minimum qualifications on a year-for-year basis

  • Knowledge of network performance monitoring and diagnostic tools

  • Understanding of cloud networking and multi-cloud architectures

  • Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) certification

Job Contributions

  • Provide technical support and problem resolution, playing a vital role in the planning, design, implementation, and management of converged data and voice networks, encompassing both wired and wireless technologies

  • Serve as an ambassador for the network operations team, fostering strong relationships with customers to ensure effective communication and support

  • Efficiently prioritize, triage, and manage incident tickets routed to the network operations team, ensuring timely resolution and customer satisfaction

  • Proactively monitor network activities for unauthorized access, implementing robust security measures to safeguard network integrity

  • Partner with equipment vendors, effectively addressing and resolving technical issues to maintain optimal network performance

  • Collaborate in the development of a comprehensive operational plan for the network, focusing on ensuring maximum reliability and performance

  • Identify opportunities for enhancing existing policies and procedures, contributing to the creation of new guidelines that align with best practices and operational needs

  • Prepare and maintain detailed technical documentation to support network users, facilitating the ongoing operation, maintenance, and evolution of network systems
