RESPONSIBILITIES
- Performs and directs the loading of trucks from load schedules provided by the Warehouse Supervisor.
- Performs and directs the unloading of all material received.
- Checks the accuracy of all material to be shipped as to quantities and item correctness.
- Checks received material against the purchase orders for accuracy of item numbers and quantities. Receives material in to IBMi to update item availability using electronic hand held device.
- Performs the handling of transformers ensuring transformers are pulled, adjusted and ready for shipment or storage.
- Inspects material to insure there are no transportation damages.
- Receives and inspects returned goods and insures said goods are returned to the proper storage area.
- Participates in maintaining the warehouse, offices and surrounding yards keeping in a clean and orderly fashion.
- Performs preparation for annual inventories and participates in said inventory and effectively uses and operates in-house computer system.
- Investigates problems with discrepancies in inventory counts and reports any problems within the warehouse operations to the warehouse supervisor.
- Due to our obligation to provide continuous, reliable electric service to our customers, the ability to maintain regular and punctual attendance and the ability to work outside your regularly scheduled office hours when necessary is an essential function of the job.
- The ability to handle stress and work well with others are essential functions of this position.
- Perform any other related duties as required or assigned.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Warehouse Associate I: High School Diploma or GED or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Warehouse Associate II: High school or GED, plus 1 to 3 years related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
REQUIRED CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
Warehouse Associate I: Valid Driver's License with safe driving record, post-offer fit for duty physical, pre-employment drug test, and must be able to pass DOT physical.
Warehouse Associate II: Valid Driver's License with safe driving record, post-offer fit for duty physical, pre-employment drug test, and must be able to pass DOT physical. Forklift Certification.
