NATURE AND SCOPE
This position reports to the VP, Mortgage Sales. Provides members with competitive mortgage loan products and the highest quality service. Serves as the point of contact for new and existing members throughout the lifecycle of the mortgage process. Supports and actively participates in community seminars and networking events. Responsible for leading a team of Mortgage Loan Officers in achieving business goals by coaching, development and training.

REQUIREMENTS
1. Bachelor's degree in business or related field and a minimum five years of successful mortgage lending production experience in a financial institution. Equivalent combination of education and experience is accepted.

2. Thorough understanding of all types of mortgage products.
3. Demonstrated experience handling member escalations.
4. Proven ability to lead others, train new staff and provide technical and sales coaching to other lenders.
5. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, problem solving skills, organizational skills and the ability to work independently.
6. Thorough understanding of loan origination systems.
7. National Mortgage Licensing System registration (NMLS#).
8. Must develop a thorough understanding of company policies and procedures as they relate to this position. Must comply with all company policies and procedures and job-related state and federal laws and regulations.

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES
1. Leads a team of Mortgage Loan Officers including hiring, training, performance management and coaching and development.

2. Serves as a reference and information source for Mortgage Loan Officers and Landmark partners. Assists in training and mentoring new and less experienced staff.
3. Builds relationships with realtors, builders and other centers of influence within the local community.
4. Manages pipelines for all originated loans, from origination through closing.
5. Manages Loan Officer pipelines to ensure loans are moving within allotted timeframes.
6. Takes mortgage loan applications, provides required disclosures to applicants, obtains credit reports and completes/submits necessary paperwork to Mortgage Underwriters.
7. Cross sells Landmark's other products and services.
8. Represents Landmark Credit Union in the community by becoming actively involved in appropriate community activities.
9. Attends and participates in all Mortgage Loan Officer meetings.
10. Handles member problems and escalations as needed.
11. Keeps up-to-date on Landmark's loan products, processing procedures and underwriting guidelines.
12. Performs other duties as assigned.
