The Industrial Maintenance Mechanic is responsible for applying specialized skills and technical knowledge to install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain a wide range of plant equipment and facility systems. This role ensures optimal operation and reliability of machinery by performing routine and preventative maintenance tasks, diagnosing mechanical issues, and implementing timely repairs. The mechanic will work closely with production teams to minimize downtime, enhance equipment performance, and uphold safety standards throughout the facility. Additionally, the position may involve reading and interpreting technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics, as well as maintaining accurate maintenance records and complying with all company policies and regulatory requirements.

1. Maintenance of machine equipment and hand tools.

2. Troubleshoot a problem beyond basic component replacement with two or more specific trades.

3. Installation, alteration, preventative maintenance, and repair of various types of production equipment including but not limited to cleaning and lubricating shafts, bearings, gears and other parts of machinery or plant equipment.

4. Ability to work on hydraulics, pneumatics, and basic electron components.

5. Set up and operate machine tools such as lathe and milling machine to repair or fabricate machine parts, jigs, fixtures, and tools.

6. Responsible for proper administration of LOTO, confined space and other OSHA guidelines.

Education required:
-High School diploma or GED
-Minimum of two years technical trade school or equivalent experience

Experience:
General mechanic experience required. Industrial experience in a similar industry preferred.
