Location: 4980 Gateway Blvd., Springfield, OH

Gordon Food Service takes pride in delivering seamless order processing and delivery to our customers. Our 11 fleet shops across the US maintain over 3,000 tractors and trailers (reefer units) for our private, company-owned fleet. As a Fleet Lead with Gordon Food Service, you'll assist with supervising garage personnel and assist in the management and coordination of the daily operation of garage services. The Fleet Lead position will offer a great opportunity to develop skills, contribute to a dynamic team, and positively impact our operations. Schedule: Sunday- Thursday 2:00PM - 10:00PM

Pay: $62K-$80K per year

Does this look like you?

  • High school diploma or GED certificate required

  • Two to four years of previous truck or heavy equipment mechanical experience or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience

  • Must have a basic understanding of DOT, OSHA, EEOC, and BWC regulatory agencies and applicable laws

  • Must be able to operate all equipment and have an appropriate operator's license

  • Must have forklift training

  • Must pass PIV certification training and safely operate PIV

  • Knowledge of all forklift, truck, trailer, and refrigeration components as well as hydraulic presses, Freon recovery machines, all troubleshooting test equipment, power drills, saws, and hydraulic jacks

  • Ability to operate computerized diagnostic equipment, handheld devices, and personal computers

  • Ability to use a variety of power and machine tools, such as pneumatic tools, lathes, grinding machines, welding equipment, and cutting torches. Hand tools, including pliers, sockets, ratchets, and screwdrivers, are commonly used

  • Successful passing of drug screen and background check
