Overview

We are seeking a Radiologic Technologist internally referred to as our Rad Tech or Diagnostic Radiology Tech. As our Radiology Tech your focus will be on conducting diagnostic X-ray procedures. This involves operating X-ray equipment to capture images of patients' internal structures for diagnostic purposes. An important role in assisting healthcare providers by producing high-quality images that aid in diagnosing medical conditions and formulating treatment plans for our patients.

Responsibilities

Essential Duties and Responsibilities (includes, but not limited to):

  • perform Diagnostic Radiographic, Cat Scan, or other procedures according to department protocols, while cross training as a CT Tech
  • responsible for ensuring that X-ray equipment is functioning properly and that images meet quality standards, which may involve performing equipment checks, calibrations, and troubleshooting as needed
  • interact with patients to explain procedures, address concerns, and ensure their comfort and safety during X-ray examinations
  • maintain accurate records of X-ray procedures, including patient information, images, and relevant medical history
  • stay updated on advancements in radiologic technology and participate in continuing education to maintain licensure and certification
  • operate radiographic equipment to produce high-quality images
  • responsible for processing and transmission of images to PACS
  • participate in Performance Improvement (PI) and Quality Control (QC) activities and assist in maintaining Performance Improvement Programs (PIP)
  • maintain your Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) accredited by the American Heart Association (AHA) and Kansas State Board of Healing Arts license


Qualifications

Education and Training

Before we go any further, we do have some deal-breakers. You must have:

  • licensure and fluoroscopy permit as required by State
  • appropriate national certifications in two modalities
  • current BLS accredited by the AHA
  • familiar with State and Federal regulations
  • graduate of an accredited radiology technology program (accredited by JRCERT preferred)
  • proficient computer skills

Additional Qualifications That Are a Plus:

  • one year of Acute Clinical Radiography
