Overview
We are seeking a PACU Charge Nurse (RN) at Providence Medical Center. Sign-On Bonus: $20,000 (2-year work commitment) Shift's Available: Days Employment Type: Full-Time Hours: 8-hour shift or 10-hour shifts Rotational Call including weeknights, weekends, and holidays Location: Providence Medical Center in Kansas City, KS Here are some of the benefits of working at Prime Healthcare:

Responsibilities
Essential Duties and Responsibilities (includes, but not limited to):
- Complies with and is able to fulfill the duties and responsibilities of department-specific Registered Nurse staff position when required.
- Collaborates with and assists the Department Director on age-specific issues, clinical practice, unit operations, human resources management and/or regulatory requirements.
- Serves as a resource to staff in area of clinical and managerial expertise.
- Serves as a role model and provides positive influence to facilitate change, managing interpersonal concerns through chain of command in a professional manner.
- Responsible for the delivery of direct and indirect patient care in the PACU setting through the nursing process of assessment, planning, and implementation, and evaluation for neonates, pediatrics, adolescents, adults and older adults.
- Coordinates the care of the patient with the physician, directs and guides other personnel while maintaining standards of professional nursing.
- Works with other departments to provide a continuum of care and co-workers to provide continuous, quality patient care, efficient patient flow and unit maintenance and organization. Fosters positive interpersonal relationships with staff and members of other departments.

Qualifications
Education and Work Experience
- current and valid state RN License
- current BLS (AHA or ARC) certificate upon hire and maintain current
- ACLS (AHA or ARC) certificate 30 days upon hire and maintain current
- PALS (AHA or ARC) certificate 30 days upon hire and maintain current
- previous Critical Care or PACU experience or minimum of one year on the job training
- Previous supervisory experience, one to two years, in acute care hospital setting, preferred.
- Minimum of one (1) year of critical care, PACU experience, preferred in an acute care hospital setting.
- CNOR or CCRN within two (2) years, preferred.
- Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing (BSN), preferred.
