Position Summary: The Benefits Wellbeing Assistant responsibilities encompass a variety of Human Resource functions, primarily employee benefit and wellbeing administration. This role is eligible for hybrid work from home opportunity under the work from home guidelines up to one day per week upon completion of onboarding.

Essential Functions:



  • Execute and administer new benefit enrollments, changes, beneficiary designations, and separation transactions for insurance and saving plans while maintaining compliance with Federal and State laws including ERISA, COBRA, HIPPAA, IRS and Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (PPACA).
  • Manage and promote the tuition reimbursement program by submitting payout documentation to Payroll and collecting payback from qualifying separating associates.
  • Coordinate Open Enrollment communications, logistics, and marketing alongside efforts in collaboration with the Benefits Officer.
  • Provide special reporting to the various third-party administrators related to insurance and wellness carriers, COBRA, FSA/DCA, 401k, and Life Insurance conversions.
  • Serve as primary respondent for Service Desk for Benefits Team and update Benefits communication channels including UBT Benefits Guide, chatUBT, and Intranet.
  • Reconcile, monthly insurance carrier invoices, identify discrepancies and resolutions, and ensure timely payments.
  • Reconcile and resolve monthly insurance and savings deductions with enrollment elections.
  • Assist with payroll verification during each pay cycle.
  • Support the administration of WellRight, including wellness challenges, biometric screenings, user support, and alternative options.
  • Manage back-end responsibilities relating to flu shots, lunch, Wellness Reimbursement Account, Wellness Library, program prizes, and fitness waivers.
  • Distribute monthly insurance regulatory notices.
  • Prepare and issue status change notifications and facilitate corresponding benefit changes.
  • Gather supporting documentation for 401(k) and health/dental audits and reports.
  • Report new hires to 401(k) recordkeepers, notify eligible 401(k) plan participants of enrollment deadlines, input auto enrollments and deferral changes.
  • Finalize compensation cycles in HRIS.
  • Serve as provide backup on front end recruiting and learning management system duties.
  • Provide backup on support for Human Resources operations, including such as front door coverage, gift card distribution, flower and card orders, and other duties as assigned.
  • Understand and adhere to all bank policies, laws, and regulations applicable to their role. Complete compliance training. Follow internal processes and controls as required.
  • Report all compliance issues, violations of law or regulations in accordance with the steps defined in bank policies.
  • Perform other job-related duties or special projects as assigned.
  • Regular and reliable attendance is an essential function of this position.


Qualifications:



  • Bachelor's Degree or comparable Human Resources or administration experience preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office products, HRIS or other database programs.
  • Valid Nebraska driver's license.

Working Environment:

Indoor work -not exposed to outdoor elements or hazards.

Some travel required.
