Job Overview
The Project Manager (PM) position is responsible for providing project management services to coordinate, track and manage the AFCAP storm repair program. The PM manages overall and individual project scheduling, design reviews, unit (office) relocation plans. The purpose of this project is to provide project management oversight for the facility repair and restoration from Hurricanes Helene and Milton for the 6th Civil Engineer Squadron for the period of 365 days (one year). Responsibilities
Essential Duties & Job Functions:
- Assists the Government in developing and prioritizing reconstruction requirements.
- Provides continuity of project experience and administrative support during Charettes scope development and review.
- Develop and maintain schedules (e.g., integrated master schedule/program, design, and construction) from project programming through design and construction to facility occupancy for the storm repair program and other reconstruction activities as required.
- Develop and update the integrated master schedule (IMS) in real time, through incorporation of the design and construction contract schedules.
- Provides a monthly IMS update to the COR, 6 CES leadership, the supporting Wing and other stakeholders as required.
- Deconfliction and Optimization: Initially and as part of monthly updates, the Contractor Master Scheduler shall identify schedule conflict sand sub-optimal scheduling (o.e., cost/schedule inefficiencies) to the COR and appropriate representatives of the 6 CES and/or the supporting Wing.
- Integrate all design and construction schedules.
- Review and incorporate inputs from the various stakeholder contractors, construction contractors, the supporting Wing, and others.
- Recommend construction sequencing to meet mission need dates and other milestones.
- Identify conflicts between schedules for individual projects and /or between project schedules and ongoing mission operations.
- Provide recommendations to resolve any scheduling conflict identified in monthly IMS update.
- Update the IMS as design and construction schedules are provided and submit an integrated schedule monthly to incorporate schedule revisions submitted by various stakeholders. An out-of-sequence request for a schedule update is anticipated to occur up to 3 times over the life of the requirement.
- Performs related work as assigned.
Job Requirements
Mandatory:
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, architecture, construction management, or facility management from a program certified by the Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology (ABET) or from a program certified by the National Architecture Accrediting Board.
- Minimum of three (3) years' experience in project management at a US military installation.
- Currently holds or actively obtaining the WMGT 422 Project Management Course from the Air Force Institute of Technology (AFIT) or current course.
- Current valid state issued driver's license with acceptable driving record.
- Ability to obtain a SECRET Security clearance.
- Ability to successfully pass any background checks and/or drug testing required on the contract.
- U.S. Citizenship.
- Ability to obtain access to U.S. Government Installations through the Defense Biometric Identification System (DBIDS).
