The City of Northfield is recruiting for a full-time Streets & Parks Manager. This position is responsible for the administration, general supervision, operations, and short-and long-term planning for the City's Streets and Parks Division. Represents the City as the staff liaison to the Park and Recreation Advisory Board, Mill Towns Trail Joint Power Board, and other related agencies and groups. Responsible for assigning and directing work, monitoring and evaluating performance, recommending the hiring, transfer, suspension and discharge of employees, and recommending the adjustment of employee grievances. MINIMUM TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: Two-year associate degree with major coursework in parks, recreation, public administration, or related field along with 2 years' experience related to public works and parks systems, recreation, and operations. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS Two years of supervisory experience. Bachelor's Degree with major coursework in parks, recreation, public administration, or related field. An excellent driving record. Three to five years of progressively responsible experience in the construction, repair, and maintenance of streets and parks. Any combination of education and experience that provides equivalent knowledge, skills and abilities will be considered. Streets & Parks Manager Job Description SALARY RANGE: $102,689 - $114,857. Excellent benefits package. HOURS OF WORK: Business hours are from 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., Monday through Friday. Early morning and evening meetings are required. May need to provide for special event coverage, weather conditions and emergency situations. Eligible for hybrid telecommuting work.
