DDA QUALITY REVIEWER 1 Department of Disability & Aging DDA Quality Monitoring Greeneville, TN Salary: $4,017.00 Monthly Closing Date: 05/20/2025

This position is designed as Hybrid (In office and Remote).

The Department of Disability and Aging supports people to live the lives they envision for themselves by ensuring people can exercise rights, engage with the community and experience optimal health. At DDA, we are responsible for administration and oversight of services and supports for more than 1.5 million older adults and Tennesseans with disabilities

Job Overview:

This classification is responsible for performing assessment and review of the quality of services being delivered to Tennesseans with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities, those that are physically disabled, and/or the aged that are members of the 1915c and 1115 HCBS waiver programs. This is the starting level in the Quality Reviewer series. This class differs from DDA Quality Reviewer 2 in that the incumbent of the latter performs lead work Completes Quality Monitoring reviews for providers. The Department conducts an entrance with the provider, completes reports, and exits with the provider. The provider is sent a final report with findings. Overall, the Quality Monitoring Department review providers quality of services for people they support to ensure the providers processes are effective and align with DDA guidelines.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct a review of the provider's processes, which includes interviews and observations of the services delivered.
  • Ensure that Quality Monitoring reports are completed promptly to reflect the timeliness and effectiveness of the provider's operations.
  • Attend survey entrance, conciliation, and exit meetings, ensuring that Quality Monitoring reports are accurately written and adhere to established indicator guidelines. Additionally, assist the lead surveyor and other supporting surveyors on the team to guarantee that provider performance for each assigned survey is completed according to established procedures and within designated time frames.
  • Make sure that individuals receiving services under the 1915(c) and 1115 waivers, included in the provider survey samples, have the opportunity to provide feedback.
  • Capture their perspectives to accurately assess the quality of services delivered to them.
  • Ensure that each Recurrent and/or Consultative survey is accurately assessed according to DDA expectations and requirements for each assigned Quality Topic and Indicator. For each assigned survey, confirm that post-survey activities are completed as required and within the established timeframes.
  • Finally, ensure that provider performance for each assigned Individual Record Review (IRR) is accurately assessed and documented for each applicable indicator.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Education and Experience: Education equivalent to a bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in one of the following fields of study: psychology, social science, human science, or behavior science.
  • Substitution of Experience for Education: Professional experience working directly with people with intellectual or developmental disabilities and/or the aging population for a minimum of four years may be substituted for the requirement of a bachelor's degree.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Effective writing, communication and organizational skills. Ability to work in team settings and meet assigned deadlines.
