We are seeking a Plant Operations Technician to join our team in Santa Fe Springs, CA!

The Plant Operations Technician is responsible for controlling and monitoring various processes involved in the production of liquid nitrogen, oxygen, and argon.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Participating in the basic safety process and sharing responsibility for the site's overall safety performance.
  • Following, updating, and maintaining operating procedures to ensure safe and efficient operations.
  • Performing routine maintenance on plant equipment and assisting technicians with mechanical repairs, instrument calibrations, and electrical troubleshooting.
  • Providing troubleshooting expertise for production units.
  • Supervising trailer loading operations and training loading personnel.
  • Adhering to strict product quality guidelines.
  • Interfacing directly with merchant customers.
  • Supporting other facilities in the area as required.

Required Skills / Abilities:

  • Strong mechanical aptitude and/or military experience.
  • A team-oriented mindset with flexibility and a positive attitude.
  • Proficiency in computer skills.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Commitment to safety, as this is a safety-sensitive position.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to climb ladders and steps and lift over 50 lbs.
  • Exposure to high noise levels.
  • Availability to meet call-in requirements as needed.
  • Ability to work at elevated heights.

Education and Licensing Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • A two-year associate degree in a technical field is a plus.
  • Experience in instrumentation and/or IT.
  • Experience in plant processes and/or a Process Technology Degree/Certification.

The hourly rate for this position starts at: $44.14/hr. (8-hour shift).
