Job Description:

Guides compliance and regulatory responsibilities. Creates documentation and best-practice work flows. Provides education and training. Completes documentation audits and resolves billing and submission problems.

Principle Responsibilities

  • Consults and educates on home care and/or hospice regulations, standards, reimbursement and evidence-based clinical practice.
    • Develops competencies.
    • Creates and provides education and training.
    • Participates and contributes on councils.
    • Leads quality assurance and performance improvement efforts for home care and/or hospice compliance.
    • Serves as resource for documentation practices and workflows in Epic.
  • Manages compliance.
    • Develops process workflows.
    • Develops and performs documentation audit and review processes.
    • Leads federal and state survey visits.
    • Assists in developing corrective action plans if applicable following survey visits.
    • Resolves documentation issues for billing.
    • Supports the submission process for OASIS and/or HOPE by solving rejections and submission warnings.
    • Participates in innovative practices.
    • Creates reports.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Nursing or Physical Therapy

Preferred Qualifications

  • 2 to 5 years experience in acute care in nursing or therapy
  • 2 to 5 years experience in Home Care or Hospice case management
  • 2 to 5 years experience in Home Care or Hospice compliance or regulatory
  • 2 to 5 years experience in Home Care or Hospice state and federal regulations, home standards and reimbursement

Licenses/Certifications

  • RNMNBN preferred
  • Certified Case Manager (CCM) preferred
  • American Nurses Credentialing Certification (ANCC) preferred
  • OASIS Certification if working in home health care setting preferred

Physical Demands

  • Sedentary:
  • Lifting weight up to 10 lbs. occasionally, negligible weight frequently

Pay Range

Pay Range: $39.19 to $53.72 per hour The pay described reflects the base hiring pay range. Your starting rate would depend on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, your experience, education, and the union agreement (if applicable). Shift, weekend and/or other differentials may be available to increase your pay rate for certain shifts or work.
