Unit Nurse Manager - Post Acute

JOB DESCRIPTION:

The Nurse Manager is in charge of the Nursing Care of all residents on the units.
Delegated to her/him by the Director of Nursing.

This position is Monday - Friday 8 hr/day position.

EXPERIENCE:

Two or more years of nursing experience in Long Term Care.
One year of administrative or supervisory experience.
Advance preparation in Unit Management and principles of supervision desirable.
Experience in the field as a professional nurse with supervising skills utilized.
Knowledge of and interest in field of geriatrics essential.

EDUCATION:

Graduate from and accredited school of nursing. (RN program).
Current license with Vermont State Board of Nursing.

On call: Required.
