National Grid is hiring a Data Analyst, Customer Energy Management in Waltham, MA
This is a Hybrid Role - Must live within a commutable distance to our locations

Job Purpose

The Data Analyst, Customer Energy Management is responsible for ensuring accurate and timely reporting of all Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) included in National Grid's Three-Year Energy Efficiency Plan, with a special focus on those metrics associated with ensuring increased participation across key customer segments including but not limited to renters, English isolated customers, moderate income, small businesses, and customers located in Environmental Justice communities.

Key Accountabilities
  • Coordinates between statewide management committees, implementation teams, and marketers to understand full scope of KPIs in order to develop process to successfully report on monthly, quarterly, and annual commitments.
  • Creates new reporting structures and works internally to ensure appropriate development of internal tracking system enhancements.
  • Experience with regulatory reporting, benefit cost modelling, and budget management and tracking.
  • Tracks investments through procurement and specifically in Environmental Justice communities
  • Aggregates new data, incorporates any new information from key Evaluation studies
  • Supports data strategy with current program implementation vendors and works with dedicated vendors joining and analysis of data, as needed.
  • Develops and maintains relationships with key external stakeholders (state energy and environmental departments, other utilities and energy efficiency program administrators) to coordinate and collaborate on new or modified offerings in order to expand opportunities to better serve new and existing customers while ensuring the best value for National Grid.
Qualifications
  • A Bachelor's degree in business, statistics or data analysis, or an environmental related degree and1-3 years of related experience, or 5+ years of equivalent work experience.
  • Knowledge of the electric and gas industry; energy efficiency or decarbonization programs, local and national energy policy is strongly preferred.
  • 1-3 years of energy efficiency or energy industry related analytical and/or regulatory work.
  • Knowledge of relevant industry practice.
  • Strong oral and written communications skills.
  • Strong analytical and forecasting skills.
  • Strong excel or other data platform experience and skills.

Salary
$85,000 - $100,000 a year
Salary commensurate with location and experience

This position has a career path which provides for advancement opportunities within and across bands as you develop and evolve in the position; gaining experience, expertise and acquiring and applying technical skills. Candidates will be assessed and provided offers against the minimum qualifications of this role and their individual experience.
