GENERAL JOB SUMMARY:

The HR Business Partner facilitates organization and leadership development efforts, working with employees and managers to address root causes of human resources issues. Implements corporate policy, coordinates HR activities and project with responsibility for results. Responsibilities encompass a multitude of activities including: talent acquisition activities, counseling employees and management concerning work-related problems, documenting investigations, conducting termination activities, and providing feedback to management as needed.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

Strategic Partnership & Business Alignment:



  • Collaborate with corporate HR and KMI leadership to understand site-specific strategies, organizational plans, and performance targets.
  • Assist to diagnose organizational needs and recommend tailored solutions and resources that support business objectives.


Culture, Engagement & Change Management:



  • Assist in identifying issues, recommending solutions, and implementing initiatives that improve employee engagement and cultivate KMIis mission and values throughout the organization.
  • Assist in developing and implementing comprehensive employee engagement programs, from onboarding new team members to ongoing initiatives that foster a positive, inclusive and welcoming work environment.
  • Act as a change agent by implementing Kratos policies and introducing best practices to mitigate workforce challenges.


Talent & Performance Management:



  • Assist in rolling out integrated processes around compensation planning, talent management, performance reviews, talent acquisition responsibilities, and succession planning that align with KMI and corporate policies.
  • Assist in overseeing the coordination of the annual performance review process, including scheduling, conducting training sessions, and reporting outcomes.
  • Act as the onsite Talent Acquisition Partner for KMI recruiting needs.


Operational Excellence & Process Improvement:



  • Assist to ensure KMI HR operational programs, initiative and processes are consistent and aligned with KMI and Kratos policies.
  • Assist in creating and maintaining HR metrics and data analysis to identify trends, uncover areas for improvement, and implement data-driven solutions that enhance organizational effectiveness.


Communication & Guidance:



  • Serve as the onsite primary resource for managers and employees by providing timely, tailored guidance, and coaching across all levels of the organization.
  • Be the onsite subject matter expert of Kratos policies, practices and protocols.


SUPERVISORY RESPONSABILITY: This position does not have supervisory responsibilities.

Required Experience:

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:



  • 4+ years of progressive HR experience, with a strong background in employee relations, recruitment, organizational development, and employee engagement within a manufacturing environment.
  • Bacheloris degree or equivalent in Human Resources, Business, or a related field.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills and demonstrated track record of building trusted, collaborative relationships with managers and employees across functional teams.
  • Knowledge of best practices, policies, and legal requirements to ensure compliance and operational excellence.
  • Proficient computer skills with MS Office products, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and Power Point Presentation.


WORK ENVIRONMENT/PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:



  • Office and/or manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to sit and stand for long periods of time.
  • Ability to perform repetitive motion (keyboarding, mouse, phones, use tools/equipment).
