Part of Dover Corporation's Engineered Systems segment, Vehicle Service Group (VSG) is a strong, diverse and dynamic global leader in the vehicle service industry. VSG comprises 13 major vehicle lifting, wheel service, diagnostic and collision repair brands: Rotary Lift, Chief, Forward, Direct-Lift, Ravaglioli, Hanmecson, Revolution, Elektron, Blitz, Nogra, Butler, Space and Sirio.

SUMMARY:This position is accountable for contributing to VSG's profitability by improving inventory accuracy. This is done by identifying and facilitating root cause problem corrections for inventory inaccuracy, by displaying leadership qualities through his/her actions and words, and by providing the necessary resources and support to Inventory Analysts and Cycle Count Coordinator as they are needed. Must be able to work independently, manage small projects, and meet deadlines.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS INCLUDE:

  1. Will coordinate the activities of the cycle analyst and the Cycle Count Coordinator.
  2. Observe and maintain all safety requirements.
  3. Coordinate with operations and logistics to execute the cycle count program.
  4. Follow cycle count procedures to ensure items are counted at the needed frequency.
  5. Work to identify root cause problems contributing to inventory inaccuracies.
  6. Facilitate implementation of corrective actions to eliminate repetitive errors and root cause problems
  7. Document any discrepancies according to the policies and procedures.
  8. Provide work direction to Inventory Analysts and Cycle Count Coordinator
  9. Serves as a point of solution for Inventory Analysts and Cycle Count Coordinator and either resolves issues or calls in other support as needed (example: Synchrono resources, Engineering, Dept Manager)
  10. Must be able to use recent versions of Microsoft Office software

  14. Continual Improvement and Problem Resolution: Identifies and communicates suggestions for work improvements. Uses technical/analytical abilities to assure existing work practices are the most efficient and cost effective possible. Performs root-cause analysis and implements viable, permanent solutions to problems. Works with both internal and external customers to develop solutions which meet company-wide needs and objectives. Applies a sense of urgency to resolve problems or create opportunities that will increase productivity and create value. Shares best practices with other employees across the business.
  15. Accountability: Accepts responsibility and accountability for both the strategic planning and the successful implementation of all projects/programs/duties as outlined in this job description. Advises manager of concerns, problems and progress of work in a timely manner. Demonstrates a sound balance between quality and quantity of work while maintaining a sense of urgency toward completion. Deadlines are met.

OTHER JOB FUNCTIONS INCLUDE:

  1. Research and reconciliation of discrepancies.
  2. Site preparation for physical inventories
  3. Ensure proper transaction cut off and product movement is in place to get good count data
  4. Other tasks or projects may be assigned by Manager

PERSONAL TOOL REQUIREMENTS:

Any and all tools required for the job.

CONTACTS (Internal and External):

Interacts with all levels of Vehicle Service Group personnel by whatever means necessary to secure required procedural changes. Moderate contact with vendors during ordering of new tooling and services.

JOB SPECIFICATIONS:

Education:Requires a GED or High School diploma.

Schedule:This is a 1st shift position, but flexibility in schedule may be needed to support manufacturing and project needs.

Experience:Experience with cycle counting

Supervision:Works under limited supervision. Handles routine matters on own initiative. All questionable matters referred to manager.
