Overview

Northwood Technical College is seeking applications from qualified candidates for a part-time Business Services Associate - Campus at the New Richmond Campus.

Under the supervision of the Bursar, the Business Office Associate -Campus is responsible for the daily operation of the campus business office. This position is responsible for campus accounting transactions including cashiering, setting up third party contracts for schools participating in the Start College Now program, and preparing daily deposits. This position assists in managing the daily college business operations and ensures that college policies and procedures are followed by making judgments regarding the integrity of data submitted at the campus level. The ability to interpret policies, apply business processes, and deal with information that is sensitive or highly confidential is essential.

  • Daily balancing of office functions such as but not limited to; cashiering, 3rd party contracts, student bills, running PeopleSoft processes, daily deposits, backup support to campus Business Services Technician as needed.
  • Set up and maintain organizational accounts for schools participating in the Start College Now program. Create, assign students, and issue billings accordingly.
  • Maintain a high level of customer service
  • Assist the Business Services Manager in the maintenance of the various College software for the PeopleSoft Campus Solutions, Finance, and Human Resources modules. As well as other software, that are utilized by Business Services Department.
  • Run the daily, weekly, monthly processes for assigned modules, ensuring that processes are complete and maintain all necessary reporting needs.
  • Assist Business Services Manager with other duties as assigned
  • Promote positive impression of Northwood Tech in internal and external relationships
  • Other duties as assigned.


Qualifications

Degree & Experience Required:

  • Associate's degree in related field or equivalent*
  • Three years related work experience

*Equivalent educational/occupational experience may be a high school diploma plus 6-7 years of relevant experience

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Ability to communicate effectively both written and verbally
  • Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office suite and the ability to effectively apply technology to tasks and projects
  • Ability to contribute to a team environment while maintaining positivity and professionalism
  • Strong customer service skills that focus on creative problem solving
  • Time management skills that apply organization and prioritization demonstrating the ability to multitask and work independently
  • Ability to obtain driver's license and insurance coverage in accordance with College policy

Preferred:

  • Previous accounting experience

FY25 Salary - Grade I - $23.50
