Mutual of Omaha is seeking a talented Engineer II/III to continue supporting our customer sentiment platform. This unique opportunity is ideal for an engineer who is passionate about working with a team focused on modernized capabilities around customer sentiment and customer feedback. We leverage these capabilities to provide quick insights back to the business units and continuously improve our overall relationship with the customer.
WHAT WE CAN OFFER YOU:
Estimated Salary (Levels have variable responsibilities and qualifications):
Engineer II: $100,000 - $125,000, plus annual bonus
Engineer III: $120,000 - $145,000, plus annual bonus
401(k) plan with a 2% company contribution and 6% company match

WHAT YOU'LL DO:
Contribute towards AWS infrastructure to support a customer sentiment and feedback analysis platform by optimizing existing ETL processes.
Integrate a combination of internally built and vendor-based applications into an event-driven architecture.
Get to know the supported business area(s), have an awareness of related objectives and challenges.
Evaluate options and performance tradeoffs/benefits.
Occasionally play multiple roles (e.g. individual contributor, lead, teacher, mentor).
WHAT YOU'LL BRING:
Professionally solved challenges for application development and implementation with five or more years' experience with: Java, Typescript, MuleSoft.
AWS CDK or other code stack development (S3, Lamda, Step Function, Kinesis).
Data experience with DynamoDB or other cloud database.
Develops unit tests and uses version control.
Collaborative attitude and a willingness to work with team members with a drive to pick up new tech through research and investigation.
