Fire Safety Monitor / Gracewatch Technician
Overview The Fire Safety Monitor monitors the safety of tank entrants. Fire Safety Monitor issues VPro's (personal monitor) and by making periodic visual/audible checks when employees are performing work in a tank or confined space (MDD-00209). check on the safety of entrants in several confined spaces or tanks in an area/building on a roving basis. To ensure the safety of personnel working the tanks or confined spaces by use of a VPASS (ETM) Electronic Tank Monitoring System with employees. Responsible for monitoring worker status and location from live information displayed on INET dashboard. Maintain various log records, receive and dispatch various requests via portable radio/phone. Will be trained as a Competent Person to certify atmospheres in all confine spaces according to OSHA requirement 29 CFR section 1915.7 subpart A. Assist with employee evacuations when directed, inspect fire extinguishers when needed, conduct safety evaluations of buildings and modules, and or any additional duty as directed by ETM supervision.
