*Description*
The central IT group is looking for a desktop support individual to serve as an information technology generalist responsible for providing broad range of user support services to a department, including network troubleshooting, training, and computer desktop support. *Position Overview* In this role, you will be responsible for providing technical support in a *moderately complex computing environment*, assisting users with network troubleshooting, software installation, and desktop support. You will help manage accounts, perform system backups, and ensure smooth operation of IT services. *Key Responsibilities* * Plan and deliver customer support services, including installation, consultation, troubleshooting, user assistance, and training. * Resolve routine to moderately complex end-user issues efficiently, following established protocols and escalating when necessary. * Provide guidance and explain policies and procedures to end-users. * Install and configure software to support network connectivity, backups, and server access. * Maintain departmental computing environments, ensuring hardware and software are updated and functioning properly. * Respond to emergency and routine IT service calls, documenting all reported issues and resolutions. * Support clients with training on desktop equipment and systems. * Work collaboratively with IT teams to integrate network and software solutions. * Train other support technicians and contribute to IT projects. * Keep up-to-date with current technologies and industry best practices. *Required Qualifications* * *Education & Experience:* * Four years of experience with an associate degree OR * Two years of experience with a bachelor's degree. * Advanced proficiency with *Mac OS and Windows OS*. * Knowledge of at least *one coding language*. * Proficiency in supporting *Microsoft Office 365* applications. * Expertise in troubleshooting and repairing *Apple and PC hardware* as well as *iOS devices*. * Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team. * Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving abilities. *Preferred Qualifications* * Experience facilitating group training, both in person and online. * Familiarity with managing active directory accounts and group policies. * Demonstrated ability to analyze and implement computing solutions for departments. *Pay and Benefits* The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $25.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
