Come and join our team at this 605-room convention center hotel in the heart of downtown Oklahoma City. Our luxury hotel is located next to the Paycom Center(OKC Thunder), the Oklahoma Convention Center and across the street from the 70-acre Scissortail Park.

The property includes an all-day dining outlet (Seltzer's Modern Diner), an entertainment sports bar (OKC Tap House), specialty restaurant (Bob's Steak & Chop House), coffee shop (Park Grounds) and a retail outlet (RareBird Gift Shop). Additionally, guests can enjoy a Mokara Spa, fitness center and a rooftop pool and bar (CatBird Seat) complete with a fire pit, outdoor lawn and cabanas. The hotel offers 76,000 square feet of meeting and event space inclusive of a 20,000 square foot ballroom, 10,000 square foot ballroom, and a 4,200 square foot outdoor pre-function space that overlooks the park.



Job Description

Since the opening of the first Bob's Steak & Chop House in Dallas, Texas, in 1993, the name "Bob's" has been synonymous with a great steakhouse experience. Building on the reputation we earned at our original Dallas location, Bob's has opened restaurants nationwide that offer the best cuts of meat available.

The Omni Oklahoma City Hotel is looking for an engaging Private Dining Coordinator to join the Bob's Steak & Chop House team. The purpose of the Private Dining Coordinator is to ensure guests are given accurate private dining information in a timely manner. Follow up with any requests and provide all planning for contracted guests. Set up room and welcome guests to the restaurant. Also, provide administrative support to the managers and assist all guests in a timely, polite, and professional manner.



Responsibilities

    Practice proper and professional telephone and email etiquette.
  • Be polite, confident, and able to help the guest with any request.
  • Handle all private dining leads or inquires in a timely manner.
  • Ability to make private dining and group dining arrangements with the guests to include the following: menus, pricing, wine selection, room set-up, audio-visual requirements, and billing information.
  • Assures all group and private dining reservations are entered in Triple Seat and Open Table.
  • Work closely with GM and AGM to set appropriate food and beverage minimums and availability for all private/group dining inquires.
  • Work closely with marketing and sales to generate new business.
  • Remain in contact with the client prior to the event to get final guarantees and method of payment.
  • Track and report group/private dining sales.
  • Track repeat business and create as easy method to trace files to encourage repeat business.
  • Make outside sales calls to increase revenue for private dining.
  • Create and process purchase orders.
  • Take reservations using good judgement and precise timing.
  • Note any guest comments. If there is a complaint, notify a manager immediately. If there is a positive comment, log in comment book.
  • Knowledge of daily function sheet, in-house VIP's, current activities, hours of operation throughout the hotel, etc.
  • Assist Manager with revisions and typing of wine list.
  • Process special guest requests, i.e. birthday cakes, dietary needs, and anniversaries.
  • Have the ability to perform all the functions of a Host as needed and warmly greet all of our guests.
  • Complete other duties assigned.


Qualifications

  • Must have strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Prior restaurant experience strongly preferred
  • Must be able to multi task
  • Must be familiar with Open Table and Triple Seat
  • Must be able to stand and walk for an extended period of time or for an entire shift
  • Must be able to move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing up to 10lbs without assistance
  • Must be able to work flexible shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Must have alcohol training certification and ABLE license
  • Must have Food Handler permit
