Job Summary

This role oversees and is responsible for a team who supports the design and implementation of strategic scheduling projects, capacity utilization, and efficiency improvements for the business.

This role will also manage a team capable of assisting the field with delivering productivity results while maintaining service quality through influencing and where needed directing the regional and district management teams to act.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

  • People leader responsible for leadership and guidance of the team partnering with functional leaders towards the development of functional plans and strategies.

  • Acts as a Subject Matter Expert on matters related to solutions development

  • Manages and supports strategic initiatives designed to maximize efficiency of Specialists routes and schedules to minimize costs to serve.

  • Designs, develops, and oversees the accurate production of, and then monitor key performance indicators of operations team and provide proactive and reactive direction on programs for continuous improvement.

  • Partners with field leadership to review all requests for replacement or additional resources, ensuring local context is adequately balanced with data and facts in the decision-making process.

  • Responsible for submitting weekly, monthly and yearly reports as required; including ensuring administrative procedures are performed as necessary to complete required reports.

  • Provides field operation leadership with key department performance metrics.

  • Monitors and analyzes compliance to standard scheduling processes and ensure follow up actions are taken at the District, Region, and Market level.

  • Has a good understanding of business and management principles involved in strategic planning, resource allocation, and financial project controls and accountability

  • Leads the program management of the scheduling agenda as well as the change management agenda to ensure Market buy in and execution of change

  • Acts as a Project Champion for the development of demand planning, capacity planning and tactical schedule improvements in systems through the PM and on into the BOB scheduling environment

  • Redesigns and documents business processes to efficiently accomplish all planning and scheduling tasks, as needed under BAU and in readiness for BOB

  • Actively supports corporate-wide programs, such as: Safety, Service Quality, YVC and CVC that create an environment consistent with Rentokil-Terminix values and strategies.

  • Builds strong relationships and effective channels of communication between the Solutions Development Team and the branches and regions.

  • Provides performance and career development feedback to the team of direct reports. Ensures that the team is cross-trained in multiple functions and embraces a team-oriented approach to problem solving.

CANDIDATE SUMMARY

Required Experience

  • Bachelor's degree or relevant professional certification 7+ years' relevant work experience or combination of education and relevant experience required; operational experience preferred

  • 7+ years' of experience with Scheduling systems, Forecasting, or Optimization Engines

  • 3+ years' process improvement or change management experience

  • Leads and facilitates cross-functional project teams to develop and execute process improvement initiatives.

  • Expert proficiency with project management methodologies, data analysis, tools, and techniques

  • Leads the creation of presentations, technical requirements, and business case/ROI in support of key initiatives.

  • Ability to manage large data pools for multiple simultaneous projects and/or work streams in a complex business environment

  • Verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to explain and present complex concepts in basic terms to all levels of leadership

  • Ability to support resource plans by coordinating with other Field Ops. Support teams, Scheduling, Customer Service, and Service Delivery colleagues

  • Attention to detail and analytical skills

  • Partners with business leads to develop, implement, and communicate standard operational policies, procedures, and processes.

  • Analyzes current process standards and metrics in order to recommend solutions for improvements.

  • Researches best business practices within and outside the organization to establish benchmark data.

  • Collects and analyzes complex data sets for results and variances, identifying trends and patterns in order to recommend actions to improve business processes.

  • Performs data gathering, root cause analysis, and performance trending in order to develop appropriate process control changes.

  • Prepares and presents process improvement and methodology workshops.

  • Coordinates across multiple functional groups to gather the information necessary for executing data models.

  • Skill in providing clear and concise feedback to direct reports

  • Proficient in Excel, Google Sheets or other data analytics tools

  • Proficient in Google Suite (Docs, Hangouts, etc.)

Formal Education, Qualifications or Training

  • Bachelor's degree or relevant professional certification

  • 7+ years' relevant work experience with Scheduling systems, Forecasting, or Optimization Engines; operational experience preferred

  • 3+ years' supervisory experience required

  • 3+ years' process improvement or change management experience

  • Close visual acuity to perform detail-oriented activities at distances close to the eyes, as well as visual acuity to perform activities at or within arm's reach with skill, control, and accuracy, such as preparing and analyzing data, viewing computer screen and expansive reading.

  • Inside working conditions: The change of building environment such as with or without air conditioning and heating.
