Job Summary
The Transformation Program Manager is responsible for the successful planning, execution, and delivery of transformation programs, such as implementing a distribution center, value added services, and future organizational transformation initiatives. This role requires a proactive and self-directed approach, with the ability to thrive in a dynamic and sometimes ambiguous environment. Strong partnership with the Project Management Office (PMO) and Change Management teams are essential to manage project activities, ensure stakeholder alignment, drive change adoption, and achieve the transformation objectives.
Responsibilities
Essential Functions
- Oversees project managers that are responsible for projects within the transformation program. Including oversight of planning, design, procurement, installation, testing, go-live, and post-implementation support.
- Partners with the PMO to develop and maintain project plans, track progress, manage risks and issues, and ensure adherence to project management methodologies for projects within a transformation program.
- Partners with the Change Management team to develop and implement change management strategies to support the adoption of new processes, systems, and technologies within the transformation program.
- Engages and manages stakeholders, including operations teams, IT, vendors, and governance committees, to ensure alignment, support, and effective communication throughout the transformation program lifecycle.
- Manages relationships with and oversees the work of third-party vendors and consultants involved in transformation programs.
Non-essential Functions
- Builds and maintains key relationships with customers, vendors, service providers, and other relationships pertinent to the department both internally and externally.
- Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor or other designate.
Qualifications
- Minimum bachelor's degree in engineering, business or related discipline, or equivalent work experience required.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in program management and/or transformation roles, with a proven track record of taking initiative and successfully managing projects in complex and evolving environments. While not mandatory, holding a Project Management Professional (PMP), PMI-ACP, Prince2, or other relevant certification would be highly valued.
- Proven experience managing third-party vendors and consultants.
- High-level understanding of change management frameworks and methodologies (e.g., Kotter, ADKAR). Prosci or other certification is a plus.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite a must.
- Proficient in project management software such as Smartsheet is a plus.

- Understanding of distribution center operations, logistics, and supply chain principles or the ability to quickly learn them.
- The ability to work effectively within cross-functional teams, including the PMO, Change Management, Operations, IT, etc.
