The University of Virginia, Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, School of Engineering and Applied Sciences, is seeking applicants for a Research Scientist position. The primary responsibilities for this position include research, scholarship, and service to the department, university, and professional community. The compensation will becommensuratewith experience and qualifications. The Electrical and Computer Engineering (ECE) Department at the University of Virginia (UVA) offers a vibrant environment for interdisciplinary research and collaboration, with strengths in areas such as machine learning, imaging, cyber-physical systems, embedded systems, communication networks, and sensor systems. Faculty members benefit from access to cutting-edge facilities and are encouraged to engage in research that addresses societal challenges. The successful candidate is expected to establish an innovative research program that builds upon existing strengths at UVA in signal processing, machine learning, and education. This includes engaging collaboratively with faculty and scientists at UVA and beyond, as well as generating research proposals, promoting scholarship, engaging in service, and mentoring students to support a growing program. The successful candidate is also expected to engage in and further ongoing projects with the School of Education and Human Development at UVA. Qualifications::
