System Engineer

This position requires an active Secret clearance.

We are seeking a skilled System Engineer to design, implement, and maintain IT systems that support business operations. This role involves troubleshooting, optimizing system performance, and ensuring system reliability while working with cross-functional teams to meet business requirements.

Compensation & Benefits:

Estimated Starting Salary Range for System Engineer: Pay commensurate with experience.

System Engineer Responsibilities Include:

• Design, configure, and maintain hardware and software systems across multiple platforms.
• Provide ongoing support for system installation, upgrades, and patch management.
• Monitor system performance, identify issues, and implement corrective actions.
• Collaborate with IT and business teams to understand system requirements and integrate solutions.
• Perform system backups, disaster recovery, and ensure data integrity.
• Document system configurations, maintenance procedures, and troubleshooting steps.
• Assist in the deployment of new hardware and software systems.
• Ensure system security through proper configuration and maintenance of firewalls, access controls, and encryption.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues in a timely manner.
• Stay up to date with industry trends and technologies to recommend improvements.
• Performs other job-related duties as assigned

System Engineer Experience, Education, Skills, Abilities requested:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• 5+ years of experience in system engineering or a related role.
• Knowledge of system architecture, configuration, and troubleshooting (Linux, Windows, or both).
• Familiarity with virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V) and cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure).
• Experience with scripting languages such as PowerShell, Bash, or Python.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Good communication skills and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
• Security+ CE preferred.
• Familiarity with monitoring and automation tools.
