Position Summary:

Milacron is seeking an HRIS Specialist for its facility located in Batavia, OH. The Human Resources Information System (HRIS) Specialist will play a crucial role in helping implement new global HRIS and integrated systems with the potential of helping stand up other future systems. This role will be responsible for managing and maintaining the chosen HRIS software used by Milacron. This position involves managing employee data, troubleshooting system issues, generating reports, potentially setting up feeds, and helping ensure compliance with data privacy regulations. The HRIS Specialist may also collaborate with HR and IT teams to enhance system functionality and improve HR processes to improve the employee experience. Duties also include providing support and training where needed. Plays a key role in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of HR data and contributes to the overall efficiency of HR operations.

Work You'll Do:

  • Project Support: Support implementation of new global HRIS (including modules or upgrades), including testing and troubleshooting, initiate system upgrades, and data migrations. Gather feedback from testing/users.

  • Data Management: Input, update, and manage data records, including personal information, payroll data, benefits enrollment, and performance evaluations.

  • User Support: Provide training and support to HR staff and employees on HRIS functionalities and best practices.

  • Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to streamline HR processes and enhance system capabilities, working closely with IT and HR teams.

  • Compliance: Ensure that the HRIS complies with data protection regulations and organizational policies regarding employee information.

  • System Support: Administration of the HRIS, including troubleshooting issues, performing system updates, and coordinating with IT for technical and security related support.

  • Reporting: Generate regular and ad-hoc reports on HR metrics to support decision-making. May have opportunity to work with developers to build PowerBI dashboards in the future.

  • User Training: Provide training and support to HR staff, Leaders, and employees on HRIS functionalities, processes, and best practices.

  • Documentation: Maintain accurate documentation of HRIS processes, procedures, and user guides for reference and training purposes.

Team:

This role will report to the HR Workstream Integrations Manager and be part of our global Human Resources team. This role will enjoy working with HR leaders that have broad company insights and offer great learning opportunities in the manufacturing industry. This role is preferred to be hybrid (3 days onsite/2 remote). If remote (less preferred), then 25% travel is expected.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Associate's degree in Information Technology, Human Resources, Business, or a related field; Bachelor's degree is preferred

  • Experience: 1+ years of experience in HRIS administration, implementation, or similar role.

  • Background in IT and/or familiarity with specific HRIS software (e.g., Workday, ADP, Paycor, Dayforce) is a plus.

  • Basic knowledge of SQL or database management, interfaces, and/or Open API is advantageous.

  • Technical Skills: Skilled in HRIS software, Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel), and data management tools.
