Manager, Financial Planning & Analysis - Capital Planning

Job Summary

Functions as the primary financial manager for the capital planning and analysis activities. Oversees the capital planning function, including facilitation of the systemwide business planning and benefit realization measurement process. Participates in the annual and 5-year planning process and supports strategic planning on behalf of the capital planning team. Serves as the primary touchpoint for executive leadership on capital & business planning matters.

Essential Functions

  • Leads administration of the Systemwide capital planning and request process, including corporate finance oversight of the system used for funding requests
  • Capital Planning - Responsible for supporting systemwide capital planning activities, including annual and 5-year planning, forecasting of capital expenditures, maintaining and preparing capital reporting and supporting the Systemwide Existing Asset Replacement (SEAR) process.
  • Business Planning - Leads and facilitates the Systemwide business planning process, including review of business plans and associated financial pro formas. Serves as the primary point of contact for operations and finance for supporting the business planning process.
  • Benefit Realization Measurement - Manages process for analyzing organizational capital and non-capital investments over a certain threshold and maintains a system to evaluate and analyze completed projects.
  • Strategic Planning - Supports the capital planning and corporate finance team's engagement with the System strategic planning process
  • Team Leadership - Provides leadership to the financial analysts on the capital planning team including role assignment, coaching/training and
  • Training & Education - Leads development and updates of training materials and supervises the maintenance of the business & capital planning intranet site.
  • Selects, trains, and evaluates employees. Develops and implements education/development programs to enhance employee performance. Works with Human Resources to address employee performance concerns.

Qualifications

  • Required Bachelor's Degree Business, Finance or equivalent
  • Preferred Master's Degree or post graduate business certification
  • 7 years of relevant experience managing various business and financial functions, including policy/procedure development and financial analysis Required
  • Management or supervisory Required
  • Skills, knowledge, abilities typically gained through related experience Required
  • Healthcare related Preferred
