This job description is intended for a Technical Lead role based on the applicants understanding, knowledge, and support of ICT Manufacturing plant systems and technology.

Overall Objectives:

The ICT Manufacturing Technical Lead - Controls Specialist provides technical and project leadership for Manufacturing ICT activities for all ICT Manufacturing Complexes across multiple locations and disciplines. This position is a lead controls specialist for all Manufacturing ICT systems management, infrastructure, and system integrations, especially as it pertains to control and OT based plant floor systems. This role leads corporate ICT sponsored application integration, change management, incident management, and problem resolution, meeting the objectives of Manufacturing while minimizing lost production due to ICT related issues.

Organizational Impact:

The functions and associated responsibilities of this position impact Manufacturing and ICT across multiple plants on a regular basis. By executing and implementing existing standards and best practice solutions, the ICT Manufacturing Technical Lead - Controls Specialist for the ICT Manufacturing Organization ensures a stable and robust environment for our manufacturing business partners.

Job Duties:



  • Provide SME (Subject Matter Expert) support of critical applications and systems for the manufacturing environment as directed by ICT Manufacturing leadership. This includes an expert level of knowledge for plant applications, ability to troubleshoot system issues, and configure applications as needed based on major projects/launches as required. This includes, but is not limited to the Broadcast, FIS, AVI, PFS, PFCS, MPTS, UPS, Mainframe Systems, Royal Tool, Andon, OPC (Kepware), SGPP, Mercury, MDT, Factory Asset Center, and QAS systems, especially as it pertains to plant level controls & automation systems.
  • Coach and mentor ICT staff in furthering their technical abilities across multiple facilities. Provide launch support related to planning, engineering, design, testing, approvals, funding, and integration of ICT systems while working with Vehicle Process Engineering (VPE)/Underbody Process Engineering (UPE) and ICT launch teams. Responsible to integrate ICT systems during launch from concept into the production environment while following appropriate change management procedures. This may include travel between any/all North American facilities (Canada, US and Mexico).
  • Support change management process (related to projects/launches), especially within the identified local facility, to ensure risk is minimalized and impact to production avoided. Understand interconnection of ICT supported systems and risk associated with change management process, as well as in-depth process knowledge. Analyze business processes and make recommendations for improvements including the development of new technologies to ensure best in class standards.
  • Effectively communicate changes, directions, and issues with upper leadership and business team management.
  • Adhere to governance by maintaining ICT standards and guidelines within the ICT infrastructure. Ensure all technologies that are incorporated into the physical environment are approved for use while enforcing all Stellantis policies, especially corporate ICT security policies. Ensure that service performance agreements are met and full support of P0/P1 escalation process, with rapid escalation and resolution as appropriate.



Work Location:



  • Technical Leads will work from an assigned plant location.
  • Technical Leads will be expected, and will have the flexibility, to travel to other locations to assist with projects, launch activities, meetings, and issues as required based on the direction of the Technical Lead Manager. This can include other plants, CTC, or vendor/OEM locations
  • Technical Leads will have the opportunity to work remotely (defined as any site other than the assigned plant location) as needed based on project requirements, up to 2 days per week. This must be communicated and agreed to by the Technical Lead Manager and the PIL responsible for the location where the Technical Lead is assigned.

Skills / Competencies:



  • In-depth knowledge of ICT manufacturing system applications and plant support.
  • Expert understanding of machine monitoring, performance and quality systems, component tracking, common plant and office network environments, engineering systems and identification systems.
  • Previous supervisory experience as a shift supervisor or team leader, equivalent manufacturing related applications experience, or other equivalent experience.
  • Experience working with Vehicle Process Engineering (VPE)/Underbody Process Engineering (UPE) to launch and integrate ICT systems from concept to the production environment while following appropriate change management procedures.

Basic Qualifications:



  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology (IT), or related field
  • 5+ years of Information Communications Technology manufacturing experience



Preferred Qualifications:



  • Master's degree in IT or related field or MBA
  • Project Management experience leading diverse teams
