Purpose:

International Gas & Cylinders, Inc.

Reports To:
SBP Lead/SBP Level 3

Objective:
To efficiently and accurately blast
and paint high pressure and acetylene cylinders.

Responsibilities:

To know, understand and accurately follow all applicable SOP's.
Meet all applicable efficiency requirements
Correctly identify the various sizes and types of cylinders, valves, and gas services
Ensure all stamped markings on the cylinder are legible
Ensure that the gas service and customer acronyms are marked on all cylinders
Ensure the proper valve is inserted correctly
Efficiently move cylinders to the proper area, including palletizing or nesting as directed
Ensure that hanging caps are properly placed on all cylinders moving to the paint line
Hang cylinders on the line if they require paint service under the direction of the SBP Level 3
Safely remove cylinders from the paint line
Any other duties assigned

Pay Rate: $18.00 per hour DOE

Ability to roll two cylinders at a time
Ability to identify DOT cylinder specifications including cylinders that require special permits or exemptions
Ability to read English

Physical Requirements
Ability to lift 100 lbs
Ability to stand for extended periods of time
Ability to work extended shifts

Near far depth perception and peripheral vision are commonly used
Ability to hear in a noisy background
Manual dexterity, motor coordination, and physical stamina are critical elements of the job
