Description
Key Responsibilities: * Develop and optimize food production processes to improve efficiency, quality, and safety. * Lead and manage engineering projects, including new installations, upgrades, and maintenance of equipment. * Ensure all processes comply with food safety regulations and industry standards. * Identify areas for improvement and implement solutions to enhance productivity and reduce waste. * Provide technical support and troubleshooting for production equipment and processes. * Train staff on new processes, equipment, and best practices to ensure consistent and safe operations. * Maintain accurate documentation of processes, procedures, and project plans. * Develop and manage strategic capital plans to support long-term growth and sustainability. This includes identifying capital investment opportunities, budgeting, and ensuring alignment with corporate goals. Qualifications: * A Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Food Science, or a related field. * Minimum of 7 years of experience in a food manufacturing environment. * Strong project management skills, proficiency in CAD software, and knowledge of food safety regulations (e.g., HACCP, FSMA). * Familiarity with automation and control systems, as well as experience with process improvement methodologies (e.g., Lean, Six Sigma). Desired Skills: * Experience with packaging and preservation technologies. * Knowledge of supply chain and logistics in the food industry. * Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. * Excellent communication and teamwork abilities. Notes: * This role will be based out of either: Chicago, Seattle or Sussex WI and report into our Chief Operating Officer. * Travel within NA will be expected, primarily to Sussex WI and Blaine WA. * This role will pay a USD salary between $195,000 - $225,000 with a 30% bonus.
