Electrical Hardware Design Engineer

Key Tasks
-Lead
the design, development, and testing of electronic hardware systems and
components.
-Collaborate
with cross-functional teams, including software engineers, mechanical
engineers, and product managers, to define hardware requirements and
specifications.
-Translate
business and customer needs into technical requirements and functional
electro-mechanical specifications.
-Oversee
the entire hardware development lifecycle, from concept to production,
ensuring high-quality and reliable designs.
-Develop
state-of-the-art power-assist medical device powertrain, sensing,
feedback, and control electronics.
-Conduct
feasibility studies, simulations, and prototyping of new design concepts.
-Develop
and maintain detailed documentation, including schematics, PCB layouts,
and BOMs.
-Perform
design reviews, risk assessments, and failure mode analysis to ensure
robust and compliant designs.
-Mentor
and guide junior engineers, providing technical leadership and fostering a
culture of continuous improvement.
-Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends,
technologies, and best practices in electronics engineering

Your Background

-Bachelor's
degree (or higher) in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Biomedical Engineering
or related field.
-Minimum
of five (5) years of relevant electronics development experience for
durable electro-mechanical products. Medical device industry preferred.
-Strong
proficiency in electronic design tools such as Altium Designer (preferred),
OrCAD, etc.
-Proven
track record of leading successful hardware projects from concept to
production.
-In-depth
knowledge of analog and digital circuit design, PCB layout, and signal
integrity.
-Experience
with embedded systems, microcontrollers, and power conversion design.
-Experience
with EMC/EMI and ESD considerations and test methods.
-Demonstrable
history with typical electronics workbench test and development equipment
(oscilloscopes, multimeters, function generators, power supplies, etc.).
-Familiarity
with manufacturing processes and Design for Manufacturability principles.
-Excellent
problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
-Strong
communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work
effectively in a team environment.
-Ability
to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
-Other
qualifications or experiences.
