Cape Fox subsidiary Eagle Health, LLC is accepting resumes for a Genomics Informatics Tasks to support the members at Ft. Detrick, Maryland. This position is contingent upon contract award.

The salary range (or hiring range) for this exempt position has been established at: $120,000-$133,000.

The above salary range represents the company's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting. In addition, we offer a variety of benefits including company holidays, paid time off, health insurance, dental insurance, vision insurance, life and disability insurance, tuition reimbursement, as well as 401K with company match. This job will be posted until filled or withdrawn.

Responsibilities:

The employee should possess a B.S./B.A in biomedical science/bioinformatics/math/computer related field with a minimum of 0-2 years' experience. The employee shall provide laboratory and scientific support within the Center for Genome Sciences (CGS) to perform next generation sequencing computational and analytical tools development, comprising the ability to construct high-throughput analysis pipelines for omics data, and to integrate them with in-house databases. A strong background in Bioinformatics and adept at analyzing Next Generation Sequencing (NGS) data desirable. A T3 investigation is required.



  • Analyze large scale and high-throughput genomics datasets generated from Pacific Biosciences, Oxford Nanopore and Illumina. To build analytical workflows and tools for automated deployment of bioinformatics analytical pipeline for interpreting NGS data. To assist in developing analytical pipeline code, open source tools installations and maintenance.
  • Document and validate bioinformatics and analytical workflows according to CGS protocol documentation practices. To uphold data integrity and good research conduct by ensuring protocols and workflows ensure sample processing and data analysis standards. Infomatics Data records are maintained in a current status within a reasonable timeframe after analytic processing.
  • Prepare technical reports and manuscripts for publication, publicly present data upon request. An Informatics Progress Report outlining the progress shall be provided to the TPOC monthly. The employee shall maintain a shared continuity folder for all Informatics Publications/Quarterly Reports that includes all supporting data or directories where data is stored (raw and processed data and sample processing records).
  • Travel CONUS or OCONUS approximately 1-2 times per year to attend meetings and training and, in collaboration with the government, engage with partners to support the biosurveillance and training missions as required.
