- 9-80 Work Schedule (This position's standard work schedule is a 9/80. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off).

Position Requirements:
- Layout, install, maintain and repair all electrical equipment and lighting systems including motors, generators, transformers, controls and mechanics.
- Capable of working on "live" circuits as required.
- Proficient in bending EMT and rigid conduit.
- Knowledgeable of the construction of Herman Miller office systems furniture.
- Ability to read facility drawings including electrical drawings, schematics, and riser diagrams.
- Ability to follow oral and written instructions.
- Must be a motivated self-starter.
- Must be able to function in a team environment.
- Must have the ability to assist other skilled trades.
- General computer skills.
- Must have a high school diploma.
- Must have a minimum of 8 years in the trade.
- Knowledgeable of general building codes.
- Working voltages of 480, 277, 208, 120.
- Must have working knowledge of the National Electrical Code.
- Must be able to climb and work from ladders.
- Must have a State of Michigan Journeyman or Master's license and maintain it.
- Knowledge of practices, tools, and equipment used in the electrical trade.
- Ability to operate power tools in a safe manner.
- Must have the ability to operate lift equipment in a safe, proficient manner and obtain the proper operating licenses.
- Must have the ability to walk 3-5 miles a day on a variety of walking surfaces, ascend and descend numerous stairways, lift a minimum of 50 lbs., bend, twist, stoop, and kneel for long periods of time.
