Brief Summary of Work for this Position |
The Administrative Specialist for Academic Affairs Operations assumes responsibility for policy compliance, process and procedure implementation, and data collection around academic affairs operations specifically to student placements, inclusive of, and not limited to:
(1) student placement documentation workflow
(2) placement record keeping management and reporting
(3) affiliation agreement tracking
(4) procedural manual organization and updating
(5) other academic processes, procedures, and data management critical for ensuring academic program and student success
o Responsibilities include an understanding and knowledge of university, college, school, and program level policies, procedures, documents, and manuals as they relate to academic affairs and student support.
o This position may collaborate with the Associate Dean for Academic Affairs, administrators and faculty within the schools to maintain placement operations; ensure timely and compliant completion of various academic affairs processes; develop and maintain an academic affairs policy and procedure manual; and generate academic affairs reports as needed. |
Minimum Education and Experience Requirements |
Bachelor's degree; or equivalent combination of training and experience. All degrees must be received from appropriately accredited institutions. |
Preferred Education, Knowledge, Skills & Experience |
o Experience in a College environment within a university.
o Experience executing academic affairs related policies and procedures.
o Experience navigating information system databases and utilizing database functionality to research data and perform queries.
o Excellent attention to detail.
o Strong written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills.
o Ability to prioritize work tasks, manage multiple projects simultaneously, organize and adjust workload to handle multiple responsibilities.
o Strong initiative and ability to work independently and with minimal supervision.
o Ability to exercise sound judgment, tact and discretion in dealing with a wide variety of administrators, faculty, staff and with student data. |
