The Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) serves as a strategic advisor and consultant to the designated service line, responsible for aligning business objectives with employees and human resources-related initiatives and policies. The successful HRBP will assess and anticipate HR-related needs within the business. The HRBP formulates partnerships across the Program, HR function, and Union if applicable, to deliver value-added service to leadership and employees that reflect both the business objectives of the organization as well as the values of the Corporation. The HRBP may include international human resource responsibilities. The HRBP maintains an effective level of business literacy and provides expertise in employee relations, compliance, and performance management. HRBP will ensure compliance with federal regulations related to fair hiring and work practices through management of the V2X Affirmative Action Plan.

Key Responsibilities:



  • Participate in scheduled service line meetings and/or strategy sessions.
  • Consults with program line management and HQ leadership, providing HR guidance when appropriate.
  • Analyzes trends and metrics in partnership with the HR group to develop solutions, programs, and policies.
  • Manages and resolves complex employee relations issues. Conducts effective, thorough, and objective investigations.
  • Maintains in-depth knowledge of legal requirements related to day-to-day management of employees, reducing company risks, and ensuring regulatory compliance. Partners with the Legal department as needed/required.
  • Provides day-to-day performance management guidance to program line management and/or HQ leadership (coaching, counseling, employee development, disciplinary actions).
  • Assists individual program HR managers in determining immediate and long-range HR requirements based on corporate objectives and business strategies.
  • Works closely with management and employees to improve work relationships, build morale, and increase productivity and retention.
  • Provides HR policy and CBA guidance and interpretation.
  • Assists in processing new hires, promotions, transfers, and terminations.
  • Assists international employees with expatriate assignments and related HR matters.
  • May provide guidance and input on service line restructures, workforce, and succession planning.
  • Identifies training needs for the service line and individual coaching needs.
  • Participates in the evaluation and monitoring of the success of training programs.
  • Lead program start-up (phase-ins) with respect to talent acquisition, development, and instilling company culture through new workforce. Assist program with phase-out activities, as required.
  • Assists Business Development teams with key personnel acquisition strategies in order to propose competitive "price to win" themes associated with new business and critical re-compete objectives.
  • Assists in developing talent strategy to align with business line strategic and operating plans.
  • Works with service line and program leadership teams to identify and cultivate HiPOs with regard to talent development and succession planning.
  • May assist in providing and reviewing data for Affirmative Action Plan Administration
  • Ensure that all employees are treated equally, regardless of their gender, ethnic background, or disability.
  • Assist in complying with federal regulations related to fair hiring and work practices.
  • Collaborate with Compensation, Talent Acquisition, Labor Relations, Benefits, and Payroll to support employees and management.
  • All other duties as assigned.


    Education/Experience Requirements:

    Education



    • BA/BS degree in Human Resource Management, Business Management, or related field required


    Experience



    • Five (5) years of related experience in Human Resources resolving employee relations issues
    • Proficient knowledge of human resource disciplines, including compensation practices, employee and labor relations, diversity, performance management, federal and state employment laws
    • Working and building a relationship with the Union, and familiar with labor relations
      Preferred
    • Experience in defense contracting.

    Skills:



    • Strong written and oral communication skills
    • Excellent public speaking, training, and email writing skills
    • Proficiency with personal computers required, including Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, SharePoint and PowerPoint
    • Working knowledge of multiple human resource disciplines, including compensation practices, organizational diagnosis, employee and labor relations, diversity, performance management, and federal, state, and international employment laws.
    • May be asked to travel up to 25%

      • The following salary range is intended to display the value of the company's base pay compensation and may be modified at the discretion of the company.


        • USD 60,000 - 100,000


      • Provided salary range minimum and maximum values correspond to variances between regional/geographic locations across the United States.
