Corewell Health Medical Group's Cardiovascular Department has a rewarding opportunity for a full-time Advanced Heart Failure and Transplant Cardiologist to join their team of 7 AHF physicians and over 50 cardiologists. Qualified BE/BC candidates who are committed to excellence in patient care and possess strong clinical skills are welcome to apply.

Opportunity Highlights:

  • Large quaternary care facility with a well-established Heart Transplant (> 250 transplants) and LVAD programs (> 550 LVAD implants) having excellent outcomes surpassing national benchmarks
  • 22-bed dedicated Heart Failure ICU with dedicated procedure room for PA catheter placements
  • 39-bed Cardio-Thoracic ICU with multi-disciplinary care involving AHF, cardiothoracic surgeons, cardiothoracic critical care intensivists
  • Two advanced heart failure inpatient rounding services; ICU & non-ICU with advanced heart failure patients
  • 24/7 heart failure inpatient advanced practice provider (APP) support and 5 dedicated ambulatory heart failure APPs
  • High volume, well-supported Advanced Heart Failure Clinic serving over 7000 patients with RN, MA, MSW, dedicated specialty nurse navigators, pharmacists, and pharmacy technician support
  • High volumes and the busiest cardiovascular facility in MI performing a multitude of CV imaging studies (echo, structural echo, SPECT, PET, CMR, CT) with support from advanced imaging cardiologists
  • Growth opportunities within the high profile cardiovascular practice for Corewell Health and all of West Michigan

Requirements:

  • Medical degree (MD or DO)
  • Board-certified in Cardiovascular Disease from an accredited institution
  • Board-certified / board eligible in Advanced Heart Failure and Transplant cardiology from an accredited institution
  • Eligible for medical licensure in the state of Michigan

Preferred Qualities:

  • Passion for the clinical care of patients with complex heart failure syndromes including those who might benefit from advanced heart failure therapies including LVAD and heart transplantation
  • Desire to work in an environment focused on excellence in clinical care but also with opportunities for education, research and professional development
