Data and Reporting Manager - Remote

IEM is searching for Full Time- Data and Reporting Manager to provide data analytics and reporting support for disaster recovery programs and management.

The essential functions listed below represent the various types of work that may be performed. The omission of specific statements of duties does not exclude them if the work is related or a logical assignment to this class.

Primary Location:



  • Live anywhere that meets remote work requirements in the United States.
  • Work remotely from home or personal office location.


Travel Requirements:



  • This position may require travel to complete work assignments or attend meetings


Essential Functions:



  • Work with and extrapolate conclusions from large data sets.
  • Develop data analysis, trends and forecast models.
  • Analyze data and generate useful business reports.
  • Review and resolve data inconsistencies or anomalies that could skew analytical results.
  • Maintain databases and conduct routine maintenance as needed to ensure data integrity.
  • Outline the specific data needs for each client and/or business analysis project (e.g. gather end user business requirements).
  • Communicate with programs teams about data changes or requirements.
  • Effectively collaborate with disaster recovery program management and system development team to understand company needs and devise possible solutions, including the ability to:

    • Identify and recommend efficient streamlined data and reporting processes,
    • Streamline data collection and analysis procedures to ensure fast access to metrics,
    • Optimize joint development efforts through appropriate database use and project design, and
    • Communicate results and ideas to key decision makers.
    • Effectively communicate (written and oral) with team members and client stakeholders.




Minimum Qualifications:



  • Degree: A bachelor's or master's degree from an accredited college or university in data science, statistics, business analytics, computer science, informatics, mathematics, data analytics, or a closely related field.
  • Experience: Four (4) years of experience in data mining, management or analysis consulting.
  • Advanced to proficient use of all Microsoft Office applications including Excel, Word, Outlook, Access, and PowerPoint.
  • Demonstrated strong data management competencies and characteristics such as integrity, accountability, excellent communication skills and commitment to teamwork.
  • An equivalent combination of education, experience, and training that demonstrates the required knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to effectively perform the duties and functions of this position may be considered.


Preferred Qualifications:



  • Knowledge of federally funded grant programs such as CDBG/CDBG-DR, FEMA HMGP, Treasury ARPA, and CARES Act grants.
  • Basic to intermediate use of SharePoint
  • Strong use of internal controls, policies and processes
  • Intermediate to advanced use of Tableau, Microsoft project and Visio
  • Agile and ability to be flexible and adapt quickly to changes during each assignment


Additional Information:



  • Remote Locations:All remote work environments require the ability to maintain minimum Internet speeds of 25 Mbps upload and 3 Mbps download, as well as a ping rate of 100 ms or less during working hours, regardless of the type and number of devices using your Internet connection. You must also have account privileges and access to your Internet service provider account during working hours for the purposes of maintaining the Internet connection, if needed.
