Our Technical Services team within Professional Services is dedicated to delivering cutting-edge technology implementation and consulting services across all business segments. We are seeking a dynamic professional to join our team in a role that emphasizes client engagement and the delivery of high-impact technology solutions. Distinct from traditional QA engineering, this Senior QA Engineer position will consult with clients to implement innovative solutions and training that leverage APIs and automation to enhance their processes. The role is ideal for someone who thrives in a highly technical consulting environment, where your expertise in technology, troubleshooting, and client facing relations will be pivotal in optimizing business processes and delivering tailored solutions.

About the Role

As a Senior QA Engineer, you will:

  • Deliver Engaging Training and Consulting:Conduct API and automation-driven training sessions, and provide consulting services to empower clients in leveraging technology effectively.
  • Implement Custom Solutions:Assist clients in deploying custom utilities, Power BI dashboards, and other automation solutions across platforms such as GoSystem Tax, OneSource Income Tax, SurePrep, and SafeSend.
  • Understand and Tailor Solutions:Collaborate with clients and their IT teams to understand their specific needs and customize solutions to enhance their operational efficiency.
  • Provide Comprehensive Support:Offer internal and external support for API-related issues, test utilities, and assist with custom mappings and light coding tasks, ensuring seamless integration.
  • Drive Innovation through Collaboration:Work with cross-functional teams to innovate and expand our service offerings, contributing to the continuous improvement of our solutions.
  • Advise on Best Practices:Guide clients on system configurations and business processes, drawing on industry best practices to optimize their use of our products.
  • Lead Successful Implementation Projects:Oversee both standard and custom implementation projects, ensuring successful outcomes and thorough documentation.
  • Build Strong Client Relationships:Establish and maintain robust relationships with clients to maximize their use of Thomson Reuters products and ensure their satisfaction.

About You

Your expertise and skills include:

  • Proven experience in delivering technology-based trainings and software implementations, preferably in client-facing situations.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills to convey complex technical concepts clearly and effectively to diverse audiences.
  • In-depth familiarity with Thomson Reuters products such as GoSystem Tax and OneSource Income Tax.
  • Solid understanding of tax concepts, procedures, and industry trends, enabling effective consultation and solution development.
  • Advanced knowledge of data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI) and API/system integration techniques.
  • Experience with low-code/no-code platforms and automation tools, such as Microsoft Power Apps and Alteryx, is highly advantageous.
  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and deliver within deadlines.
  • A collaborative spirit and a commitment to achieving client satisfaction through exceptional service.
  • A bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent practical experience in technology consulting or related areas.
  • Demonstrated problem-solving abilities, with creativity and initiative to develop innovative solutions.
  • Eagerness to learn and adapt to new technologies and industry changes.

Thomson Reuters complies with local laws that require upfront disclosure of the expected pay range for a position. The base compensation range varies across locations.
For any eligible US locations, unless otherwise noted, the base compensation range for this role is $88,200 - $163,800.
This role may also be eligible for an Annual Bonus based on a combination of enterprise and individual performance.
Base pay is positioned within the range based on several factors including an individual's knowledge, skills and experience with consideration given to internal equity. Base pay is one part of a comprehensive Total Reward program which also includes flexible and supportive benefits and other wellbeing programs.
