SUMMARY: The
Electronic Security Systems (ESS) AutoCAD Designer is responsible for generating the drawing set for an ESS installation.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions of this position.
- Develop drawings, design packages, and associated documentation for electronic security systems (ESS)
- Support the installation of ESS systems and generation/updating of redlines.
- Identify and select components based on technical requirements and characteristics
- Produce As-Built drawings upon completion of an installation
- Develop a library of drawing templates and typicals for re-use.
NON-ESSENTIAL DUTIES: Perform other duties as assigned
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- 5+ years experience in AutoCAD design of ESS systems
- AutoCAD with addition of SolidWorks preferred
- Must be able to generate map views, typical for hardware configurations, detail drawings, wiring diagrams, network diagrams, and other related drawings
- Must be familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures regarding ESS CAD design such as ANSI Y14.1.
COMPUTER SKILLS:
- Skill in operating a personal computer and standard office equipment
- Proficient using Autodesk products to produce detailed design drawings necessary
- Must have proficiency in a variety of computer software applications in word processing and spreadsheets (MS Office: Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS, CLEARANCE:
- Must be able to obtain and maintain an active DoD Secret security clearance (U.S. Citizenship)
- ESS system certifications (Hirsch, Lenel, Genetec, Vindicator) preferred
