Responsibilities: The ideal hourly rate is between $19.63 to $25.00/hr and is dependent upon experience. The hours for 2nd shift are 3:30pm to 11:00pm POSITION FUNCTION & SCOPE Our Distribution Coordinator is responsible for providing exceptional service to all Shipping and Receiving Operations stakeholders.You will ensure accurate and timely delivery of services and collaborates with key Team Members to enable attainment of Shipping Department deliverables, including accurate inventory, order processing, and stock integrity.
- Provide professional and effective communication with sales offices, corporate offices, distribution centers, private label customers and Modesto Departments.
- Investigate, coordinate and recommend prompt action on any potential out-of-stocks, inventory inquiries or complaints.
- Arrange transportation and scheduling needs for all shipping orders and orders received. Review all shipped orders to ensure proper shipping. Maintain CHEP pallet inventory.
- Develop and maintain professional and effective communication with sales offices, corporate offices, distribution centers, private label customers, brokers and all Modesto Plant Departments, Production, Quality Assurance, Shipping, Purchasing/Materials, etc.
- Monitor and evaluate the status of private label and regular label inventory and compare with current and projected inventory stock levels.
- Review open orders and prepare a spreadsheet for out-of-stock items, providing information to inquiring parties as to the nature of a problem, possible corrective measures, and/or time frames for correction.
- When necessary, work with Quality Assurance to release products to meet demands of shipping.
- Receive and investigate inquiries and/ or complaints of stock levels.
- Routinely communicate with sales offices, production scheduling, corporate offices and distribution centers on inventory and shipping order issues.
- Review shipping orders daily to ensure accuracy, proper shipment and provide a Daily Summary Report and complete Notice of Shipments.
- When needed, notify customers of shipments providing bills of lading and shipping reports. Review prior days shipments and complete a Daily Balance Worksheet of shipments.
- Arrange transportation and schedule appointments for all shipping orders, to include pre-paid piggybacks, trucks, export orders and Trade Shipment Return Receipts.
- Work directly with truck companies and customers to schedule buyer hauls. Handle all sample requests and provide UPS documents and Daily Receipts for shipments.
- Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
- Minimum 3 years of relatable experience with Shipping/Distribution.
- AA/AS Degree in Business or Business Administration field preferred.
- Non-degreed candidates must have a minimum of 4 years of directly-related work experience in lieu of formal education, within a comparable Food Manufacturing and/or Warehouse Shipping environment.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Proven ability to handle multiple projects and priorities at one time
- Strong PC-skills relating to spreadsheet, database and word processing programs.
- Experience with applicable Inventory Applications
- Proven problem-solving skills and strong data analytics skills required
- Strong work ethic with proven ability to work with deadlines and commitment.
- Capable of handling multiple tasks on a daily basis when required
- Ability to work in cross-functional teams and coordinate well with others
