Senior Customs Analyst - NSK Corporation

The Senior Customs Analyst Role

The purpose of this position is to coordinate the import/export recordkeeping responsibilities at NSK Corporation and to assist other entities of the NSK Americas, Inc. group with their respective requirements. This position works with several departments within the company, the personnel of the related entities, and outside agencies, such as the U.S. Customs Service brokers, freight forwarders, and attorneys, to ensure compliance with governmental regulations.

Responsibilities



  • Reviews procedures performed by external brokers to ensure efficiency, effectiveness, and compliance with regulations.
  • Responds to questions from other departments related to customs and trade issues; reviews governmental filings of affiliates to ensure consistency of data provided to governmental agencies.
  • Prepares reports related to governmental requirements, such as USMCA, HTS, duty drawback, and CTPAT.
  • Develops procedures for compliance with governmental regulations; reviews new developments in trade law to assess potential impact on the company and advise of needed changes.
  • Assists in educating appropriate personnel and provides training to personnel in matters related to import and export trade and customs compliance.


Qualifications



  • This job requires a minimum of a Bachelor's Degree in a related field and 3 to 5 years of position-related experience; preferably 5 to 7 years of position-related experience.
