We're searching for a passionate and technically sharp engineer to join our Seattle, Bothell, or Vancouver, WA, offices. This is your chance to lead cutting-edge bridge projects, solve complex engineering challenges, and shape the infrastructure that connects our communities.



Responsibilities

    Lead the planning, administration, and design of structural bridge projects, ensuring compliance with state and federal standards.
  • Conduct detailed structural analysis, seismic analysis, and design for various bridge projects.
  • Develop and review engineering calculations for reinforced and prestressed concrete, steel structures, and other materials.
  • Prepare comprehensive engineering reports, plans, specifications, and estimates.
  • Utilize engineering software packages such as Midas Civil, LEAP Bridge Enterprise, L-Pile, LEAP Bridge Steel, and MathCAD for project delivery.
  • Ensure timely delivery of PS&E contract documents, coordinating with multidisciplinary teams across various geographic locations.
  • Conduct quality control and assurance activities to maintain high standards in project execution.
  • Apply advanced seismic design principles and non-linear analysis techniques to bridge projects.
  • Develop quantities and cost estimates, ensuring projects stay within budget.
  • Collaborate with CADD technicians to develop detailed bridge plans and specifications.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry standards, code requirements, and client objectives.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor's of Science in Civil Engineering required; Master's Degree in Structural Engineering preferred.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license in Oregon and Washington is required
  • Structural Engineer (SE) certification a plus
  • 7-10 years of experience as a bridge engineer, including design, plan preparation, structural analysis, seismic analysis and design, quantity calculation, and construction support services.
  • Experience with ODOT and WSDOT projects is a plus.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience managing tasks, projects, and professional staff.
  • Proven history of meeting project deadlines and budgets.
  • Familiarity with engineering software packages such as Midas Civil, LEAP Bridge Enterprise, L-Pile, LEAP Bridge Steel, and MathCAD is a plus.
  • Proficiency with MicroStation (ORD a plus) and Civil3D.
  • Advanced understanding of seismic design principles and non-linear analysis techniques.
  • Strong understanding of structural behavior and mechanics of materials.
  • Ability to independently and accurately complete engineering calculations for reinforced and prestressed concrete and steel structures; familiarity with timber and masonry design is a plus.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office software applications (including MS Project).

The pay range for this position in Washington is $130,000 to $160,000 per year. The base pay offered may be higher or lower, depending on the candidate's job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and location. Restricted stock units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the position offered.
