Chief of Parties

DEA's Boise, ID office is currently seeking a Chief of Parties to oversee the field survey crews. This position will be managing a group of survey crews performing boundary, topography, ALTA, right of way, and construction surveys for public and private clients. This position may continue to work in the field as a Party Chief as workload dictates.

Position Responsibilities include but not limited to:

• Planning, assigning, directing, and reviewing the daily activities of survey crews.
• Ensuring proper and safe operation of equipment, following methods and procedures for field survey work.
• Researching previous survey evidence, maps, deeds, physical evidence, and other records to obtain data needed for surveys.
• Developing new data from records and field collected data.
• Keeping and organizing accurate notes and records to describe work performed.
• Establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with Clients, both internal and external in the daily tasks.
• Assisting in periodic project financial reporting with clear and concise communication, both in verbal and written correspondence.
• Quality control of the field data collected.
• Mentoring and coaching of field staff to advance within the survey profession as their individual abilities allow.
• Performing related tasks as assigned.

Basic Qualifications:

• Minimum of 8 years experience in boundary and construction surveying
• 3-5 years' experience managing a field crew
