Solutions Engineer

The Inserso Corporation is looking for an energetic Solutions Engineer to join our business development team to create winning technical solutions for Government agencies. You will analyze technical service offerings and formulate, develop, and write winning solutions for federal customers. These solutions include software development, server / network engineering and administration, cloud management, IT service management, and other consulting support. This individual will work closely with our business development and proposal teams, develop technical solutions, and write and produce proposals in response to government RFPs and RFIs.

Responsibilities:

  • Analyzing government requirements and developing technical solutions and process improvements.
  • Reviewing and analyzing acquisition documents (RFIs, RFQs, RFPs) to prepare winning proposals.
  • Translating technical vision into visually appealing graphic presentations.
  • Creating diagrams and graphics to quickly and effectively communicate key messages.
  • Supporting and writing proposal responses.
  • Estimating appropriate staffing levels for technical tasks.
  • Researching and identifying new technology components as part of larger solution architectures.
  • Interviewing project program managers and technical experts to document corporate capabilities applicable to government's requirements.
  • Attending industry days, meeting with partners and supporting the business development team.

Required Skills/Experience:

  • Bachelor's Degree in a technical related field (Computer Science, Engineering, etc.).
  • Foundational software development experience.
  • Passion to expand knowledge in a wide range of IT fields, including development, networking, cloud, service desk, and IT service management.
  • 2 years of software development experience in modern cloud-based environments using object oriented languages such as Microsoft .NET, JavaScript, Python, Rust.
  • 2 years of experience with SDLC support tools such as Git, Azure DevOps, Jenkins, Jira, and other Atlassian tools in an agile or DevOps/DevSecOps environment.
  • Results oriented, competitive, and a winning attitude toward developing business proposals.
  • Experience creating architectural and process diagrams.
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, results-oriented environment.
  • Effective communication skills to include the ability to produce written documents and graphics.

Preferred Skills/Experience:

  • Experience with migrating or operating systems in cloud architectures AWS or Azure.
  • Experience with containers and microservices architectures.
  • Experience supporting sales efforts or writing proposals.
  • Experience developing technical graphics using Visio, Figma, Draw.io, etc.
