Position Summary:

The Special Weapons Group Coordinator will facilitate the organization of parts and builds with documentation for the Strategic Weapons Group. They will be responsible for the planning, scheduling, routing, tracking, and reporting out of builds based on bills of materials and work orders. This entry level position will require organization and planning skills. Must be able to work with R&D, Product Management, and Project Management to support SWG build plans. This position will be the lead for serial number inventory management and will work in a collaborative, fast paced, dynamic, team environment within the Research and Development department.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:



  • Manages a schedule for active builds with input from Product and Project Management teams.
  • Continually monitors active projects to include but not limited to, R&D prototype builds, Tender builds, Test and Evaluation samples, as well as show guns.
  • Responsible for serial number inventory management of Strategic Weapons Group.
  • Determines and establishes appropriate stock levels for expendable supplies based on input from team lead and gunsmiths.
  • Directly responsible for executing timely EBS transactions of serialized items according to SIG SAUER INC policy.
  • Management of parts and materials including archiving or scrapping serialized items post build.
  • Interacts professionally with other business units to support customer builds.
  • Engages in and actively volunteers for Continuous Improvement project/task.
  • Participates in and sustains 5S Standards.
  • Must follow all required ISO procedures, comply with all work exposure EH&S training requirements, and adhere to SIG SAUER, Inc. security mandates.
  • Must be able to travel infrequently.
  • Miscellaneous duties as assigned.


Education/Experience & Skills:



  • Bachelor of Science or Bachelor of Arts degree preferred, High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required; or related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 1+ years of experience as a coordinator preferred.
  • Advanced experience with Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook required, and experience with Microsoft Project and Visio preferred.
  • Knowledge of all SIG SAUER INC product lines, including firearms, optics, ammunition, and accessories preferred.
  • Experience with Oracle EBS preferred.
  • Experience with Agile PLM preferred.
  • Experience using and maintaining firearms is preferred.
  • Equivalent combination of education and experience may be


Working Conditions:



  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working at a computer using a keyboard and mouse performing repetitive tasks.
  • Ability to open file cabinets, reach with hands and arms, bend, and twist, lift and move files.
  • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds.
  • Must wear required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) where required.
  • Must comply with all work exposure EH&S training requirements and adhere to SIG SAUER Inc. Security Mandates.
